best of luck. just curious ... you were reading this fortunate cookie when you were eating out with Chinese friends, or with non-Chinese friends? My practice is that I simply igonre this cookie when it comes with the bill (call me environmentally friendly ... so the owner can re-present this cookie to another customer, or just use it as a decoration along with the bill plate/holder ...LOL). Only if my other non-chinese coworkers insist to read it out loud ... then i would open the cookie and read the line. hee hee ... i am wondering why 'fortunate cookie' did not get a chance to "invade" back to HK and become a hit in the past decade ...?!

I thought it should read:
"Sometimes moving to new places leads to great transformation."
Have you ever thought about moving to places like D.C., NYC, L.A., S.F., etc, where there are many Chinese around?
