Let's translate this. I think jasper222 and I have taken a crack at it in an earlier post.

Gently I walked, just like my gently coming,
my gently beckoning, makes farewell speech the Western Paradise cloud.
That river bank golden willow tree, is in the setting sun bride.
In the wave light 豔 the shade, ripples in my heart.
On muck blue xing, glossy in under water free.

In the Kang river roubo in, I make a water plant willingly,
under a that siberian elm shade deep pool, is not the spring is the space rainbow,
breaks up by rubbing in floats between the algae, the precipitation rainbow resembles dream.

Seeks the dream, supports a long punting pole, is bluer to the green grass place inundates traces.
A full load ship star splendor, flares rottenly in the star in sings in a loud voice.
But I cannot sing in a loud voice, is quietly the Sheng Xiao which leaves depart.
The summer insect also silences for me, the silence is the tonight Kang bridge.

Quietly I walked, just like I quietly.
I wield the sleeves of a dress, does not carry off clouds.

Funny stuff. We can do better than this.

I am not a literature or poetry major, and in fact I was pretty bad at it when I was in school. Anyway my interpretation of this poem is that the author loved what he saw previously (?) so he revisited that place to re-live its good memory perhaps?

When he mentioned "西天" I assume he meant some place in the western world (USA?), and when he left he was disappointed that he could not bring "康橋" with him by saying "我揮一揮衣袖 不帶走一片雲彩" so he moved on.

Oh well, at least I tried @_@

let's translate the poem into English now that we understand what it means.

Uh, so I was close...oh well, I didn't know he went to Cambridge. No wonder it said 康橋...

so no one wants to translate it?
let's do it line by line.

I came by like a breeze,
and I left like a breeze;

I waved my hand to say goodbye to the gorgeous western skies;

(to be continued)

Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again --- by Xu Zhimo

再别康桥 徐志摩

 Very quietly I take my leave

 As quietly as I came here;

 Quietly I wave good-bye

 To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

 The golden willows by the riverside

 Are young brides in the setting sun;

 Their reflections on the shimmering waves

 Always linger in the depth of my heart.

 The floatingheart growing in the sludge

 Sways leisurely under the water;

 In the gentle waves of Cambridge

 I would be a water plant!

 That pool under the shade of elm trees

 Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;

 Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds

 Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream?

 To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream

 To where the green grass is more verdant;

 Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight

 And sing aloud in the splendour of starlight.

 But I cannot sing aloud

 Quietness is my farewell music;

 Even summer insects heep silence for me

 Silent is Cambridge tonight!

 Very quietly I take my leave

 As quietly as I came here;

 Gently I flick my sleeves

 Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away

I saw that online. But I think the translation is a bit awkward.
